Fairgreen Ceilidh Band played for us on Saturday 13th May, at the Corn Hall in Diss. They had everyone on their feet. I smiled so much that I got that little pain you get, just behind your jaw, when you laugh and smile to excess! They are excellent musicians and Chris is an articulate and patient caller. Great dances.. If you are looking for a band for your Ceilidh I strongly recommend Fairgreen Ceilidh Band

"We had so much fun at our wedding thanks to you guys! 

So many people told us how brilliant the ceilidh was! Musically the band are just amazingly talented, and got everyone of all ages up dancing (from our two year-old nephew to my 89 year-old grandad!) The atmosphere created by their set was incredible, and really made our wedding everything we imagined, so fun and joyful. They are also a really lovely bunch of fellas who were so easy to communicate and work with, and so accommodating! (We're already working on an excuse to book them again...) Basically, if you're on their website and reading this, just book them now! Don't think twice about it, you'll not regret it, they will make your day!"

"Fairgreen played at our wedding last month and it was amazing. They were so friendly and communicative when we contacted them and they made a real effort on the day to make our special day so fun! They were a great band and with several inexperienced guests wanting to dance they were great at explaining the dances and practising before we did them at full speed. Everyone had great fun and complimented how great the Ceilidh was. They did plenty enough songs and exactly the right level of difficulty. They had their own PA system and put on some lovely music while setting up and during the break which was a lovely extra touch, we couldn't recommend them highly enough!"

"Hi Chris, it goes without saying that the gig was very successful.  I have had a lot of 'thank yous' by text and email, many of which say how much they enjoyed the dancing, and that is what it is all about as far as I am concerned. You set a high standard, both in terms of musical effect and in the professional way you were able to adapt your programme….

One of the reasons I selected Fairgreen Ceilidh over the other bands I listened to before booking was that you had a wider range of tunes and styles of Folk music to offer, which I appreciate.  All your players are very proficient musicians and I absolutely loved the flutter-tonguing flute bits.

When you were calling the dance steps, your instructions were nice and clear and encouraging.  I liked the Farandole as a starter because it was quite easy but lots of fun to do.  The last dance (can't remember what it was called, but I enjoyed the primeval shouting) was a clever way of getting everyone up close together so that we could conveniently share a few words to end the evening.

 

Thank you to all the band for providing us with high quality entertainment, an evening I hope we will remember for a long time.
