The core of the Fairgreen Ceilidh Band has been playing together for 7 years now. The band has seen some great musicians come and go. We are now taking advantage of the considerable drumming & vocal talents of Baz to make up the 4 piece.

We have all been playing in bands since knee high to the proverbial grasshopper. We are all working on various other musical projects (see links)

The music is largely fiddle driven by our extremely talented 'maestro' Tri with mandolin, guitar, bass and some occasional additional jiggery pokery to make the sound even bigger.

We take a lot of care finding great tunes to complement the dances, tunes thast really want to make you want to dance.

TRI the Fiddle:
He has been playing the violin for 30 years or so, a full-time musician while living in Indonesia. He can turn his bow to all kinds of different genres - Irish folk, country/bluegrass, jazz and blues as well as original music and improvisation. All of which he uses to inject that extra special twist to his playing in the band - once he gets going it's hard to know when the good stuff is going to end. Influences; Irish fiddler Kevin Burke of the Bothy Band and Patrick Street, the 'Western Swing' style of Bob Wills and jazz rock violin of Jean Luc Ponty. He also teaches violin in Norwich.

PAUL the Bass
European tours, videos, hit singles with the ace Norwich indie band the Nivens are all some of the excellent things Paul has played a part in! He's also written songs and music for films..... talking of films, he's acted in quite a few not to mention the stage appearances. He is also a voice over artist -  very talented man indeed.
