About Our Ceilidhs

A ceilidh band is a great way to get everyone up and dancing at your wedding, (or  birthday, anniversary or village 'do'.) 

We offer the ultimate cross-generation entertainment for where family and friends meet ~ dancing together and having the best time. 

 

We offer a personal service ~ we're happy to discuss timings, dance sets, background music etc. As each celebration is unique we tailor our set to get the best out of your guests. 

 

Absolutely zero knowledge of ceilidh or barndance is required.  The caller walks you through each dance a couple of times and you're good to go! And you don’t have to worry about remembering all the moves either ~ the caller provides timely reminders.  

 

It's often commented that the ceilidh is the highlight of the evening.

The band has played over 200 events and with that wealth of experience has curated tried and tested folk tune/dance combinations from England, Ireland and Scotland which dancing guests will love -  brought to you by lively, 2, 3 or 4 piece band of excellent musicians  - fiddle, caller/guitar/mandolin, bass guitar and drummer/vocals.

SCOTTISH CEILIDHS

As well as an eclectic set we can also provide a more Scottish leaning experience with classics such as The Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant, Orcadian Strip The Willow, The Flying Scotsman, Highland Barndance and Circassion Circle.

The Grand March, with pre recorded music is also available at weddings.

REELING PARTIES

Unfortunately we don't  do  dances such as The Duke of Perth, Hamilton House, Reel of the 51st etc.

BAND SET UP TIME: 60 to 90 minutes

SPACE 3m x 9m,  a power supply and small table, 2 chairs for equipment.

DANCE SETS: Popular timings 2 x 60 or 2 x 75 , 3 x50 minute sets with breaks.
